Open and keyhole surgery for gallbladder, hernia, appendix, breast and bowel conditions.
Our general surgeons operate in the hospital's own theatres, with anaesthesia, recovery and inpatient wards on site. Wherever it is safe, we use laparoscopic (keyhole) techniques, which usually mean smaller scars, less pain and a quicker return home.
Common procedures include gallbladder removal, hernia repair, appendicectomy, breast lumps and minor procedures. Before any operation the surgeon explains the plan, the expected stay and the recovery, and the desk can quote a package on the phone.

Arrive 15 minutes early with old prescriptions, reports and X-ray or scan films.
Lab, imaging and the pharmacy are on site, so most tests can be done the same day.
Day-care procedure by our surgical team.
